I've stayed in many older 'boutique' hotels in Istanbul in converted Ottoman mansions, which are charming but often come with issues like street noise, no a/c in summer, old plumbing, and two twin beds pushed together called a 'double bed'. This place is completely new, with excellent showers, great bedding and linens (even a true king bed), soundproofed windows, a/c (which is sometimes rare in older hotels in Istanbul), modern TV (even an in-screen 'fireplace' for a cozy romantic evening), and we could lie in bed with a superb view of the illuminated Hagia Sophia at night – not just a peek, the whole wall is glass. All at an incredible price (we booked room-only, didn't want to spend on a big hotel breakfast when we could get a pastry and tea down the street, which was enough before heading out). The staff are lovely. Once people discover this place, it will become very popular.”
